F&W has observed strong growth progress in young Asparagopsis under 18°C conditions.

The crop was first transferred under 14°C conditions on April 29 and adapted successfully without visible drop-off. By May 13, under 16°C conditions, early signs of growth were confirmed. As of June 7, the crop has been maintained under 18°C conditions, where rapid growth is now being observed.
Compared with last year, this year’s cultivation-line preparation has been significantly strengthened, creating a more stable foundation for growth across different conditions. As a result, the young Asparagopsis is showing stronger adaptability and healthier growth performance throughout the cultivation process. This progress provides valuable insight into the temperature response and early cultivation performance of Asparagopsis, supporting F&W’s continued development of scalable seaweed-based solutions for methane reduction and sustainable aquaculture.
