What We Do
The ocean already holds the solutions we need, but unlocking them requires precision.
At F&W, we develop and cultivate high-performance seaweed strains through advanced breeding, controlled hatchery systems, and scalable aquaculture design. Rather than exploiting marine resources, we engineer resilient, productive ecosystems that deliver reliable biomass for climate-critical applications.

Where We Cultivate High-value Seaweed
Jeollanam-do produces over 90% of Korea’s seaweed, in a top-three global producing nation, cultivating high-value species including Pyropia, Saccharina, Undaria, and Asparagopsis. Its 84,000 hectares of sheltered ria coastline and 400-year aquaculture legacy enable stable, high-yield production at scale, supported by advanced hatchery, breeding, and mechanised systems.
Fully integrated with existing aquaculture infrastructure and backed by strong marine R&D and processing capabilities, the region uniquely delivers scalable, reliable seaweed biomass - transitioning from traditional food production to high-value applications such as methane-reducing feed.
