On April 20, 2026, F&W entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hongik Humans in Wando, South Korea, marking a critical step toward scaling ocean-based climate solutions.
This partnership is focused on transforming Wando’s established seaweed industry into a high-impact, next-generation production system for Asparagopsis, a key feedstock for methane reduction in livestock.
Under this agreement, both parties will collaborate to:
Establish scalable cultivation and production systems for Asparagopsis
Accelerate commercialisation of methane-reducing feed solutions
Develop integrated blue carbon and MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) frameworks
Strengthen regional aquaculture ecosystems and unlock new economic value
Wando represents a unique convergence of infrastructure, expertise, and environmental conditions positioning it as a strategic global hub for Asparagopsis production.
While the science behind methane reduction is proven, global deployment has been constrained by supply.
This partnership directly addresses that bottleneck.
F&W is committed to building a fully integrated, ocean-based production model enabling scalable, real-world climate impact.
🌊 From ocean to climate solution, at scale.
